Product changelog (2026-07-04): Custom registration fields, plus participant password reset

Registration is where messy data starts. This update adds custom registration fields (with exports) and makes participant access less fragile with password reset from event login and My Events.

Product changelog (2026-07-04): Custom registration fields, plus participant password reset

Registration is where messy data starts: half the details live in a form, the other half in a spreadsheet, and the rest gets “confirmed” in DMs on event week.

This update is about making registration details more intentional, and participant access less fragile when someone can’t log in.

If you care about the data, treat the registration form like an operational tool, not a marketing checkbox.

Why it matters

Two problems show up in almost every event:

  • You need specific attendee details (role, dietary needs, accreditation info, company size, session preference, etc.), but you don’t want to manage extra forms and manual merges.
  • People forget passwords at the worst possible time (the night before, or at the door).

These changes help keep registration data tied to the participant record, and reduce the “can you help me log in?” support load.

What changed

Organizer: Custom registration fields (optional, per event)

  • Registration fields module: organizers can optionally enable Registration fields for an event.
  • Form builder: build a registration form with custom field types, required/optional controls, help text, select options, and drag-and-drop ordering.
  • Edit control: choose whether participants can edit their submitted registration details after joining.
  • Organizer visibility: view registration responses from participant details.
  • Exports: CSV exports include custom registration response columns.

Attendee: Answer (and review) registration questions

  • During event join: attendees can answer custom registration questions when the organizer enables them.
  • In profile: attendees can view their submitted registration details.
  • Editable when allowed: attendees can edit registration details only if the organizer enables editing.

Attendee access: Password reset

  • Password reset is now available from event login and My Events login.

Good registration fields do one thing: they remove “we’ll ask later” work from event week.

Availability

These updates were recorded in the Bewitt product changelog on 2026-07-04.

If you want to see how this fits your workflow (registration, access, and exports), you can request a demo or start an event and enable Registration fields.
